Welcome back to day two of Blogtober! On today’s schedule: a very easy and relaxing autumn skincare routine. This is my actual skincare routine for this season. Here we go!
Before the routine:
Get into comfortable clothes. Take a shower beforehand if you want to. Lit the candles. Put on some relaxing music or your favourite music!
Step One: First Cleanse
So when I wear a full face of makeup (full beat or soft beat) I always double cleanse. I don’t like to see any remaining makeup on my face and I feel like a double cleanse really achieves that. As my first cleanse, I use the Garnier Refreshing Botanical Cleansing Milk. I put some in my hands and rub it onto my face, melting the makeup. Next, I wash my face to get rid of the makeup and cleansing milk.
Step two: Second Cleanse
The second step in the relaxing process is a second cleanse. I take one of my Face Halo’s and my Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. I soak the Face Halo with the micellar water and clean my face with it. Getting rid of those final remaining bits of makeup like mascara and eyeshadow.
Step Three: A Little Mask
I don’t really enjoy masks. I feel like a lot of them are really expensive and don’t do much. However, there are a few that I do like. The Milk Makeup Cannabis Hydrating Mask is a mask that I have been testing for a while now. I still don’t know how I feel about it BUT I do enjoy putting it on and relaxing for 15 minutes.
Step Four: Toner
Toner is something new to my collection and skincare experience. I’ve been trying the Fresh Rose Deep Hydrating Facial Toner and I really enjoy it. It’s truly refreshing on the skin and hydrates it immediately. I take a little bit in my hands and pat it onto my face.
Step Five: Essence
An essence is also new to my experience. The Fresh Black Tea Kombucha Essence is really lovely. Again, it does a great job at hydrating my skin and the fine lines. Taking a few drops in my hands and patting it onto the face.
Step Six: Eye Cream
I don’t believe in eye creams that promise to diminish dark circles and other things. I believe in eye creams that promise to hydrate the skin. That’s exactly what the Saturday Skin Eye Cream does for me. It hydrates the area of my eyes without being too thick or irritating. It’s a nice relaxing step.
Step Seven: Moisturiser
Moisturiser is a must in my skincare routine. During autumn I need something a bit more thick than normal. My skin needs all the moisture it can get. I love to use this Saturday Skin Moisturiser or the Fresh Rose Deep Hydrating Face Cream. Thick and juicy!
Step Eight: Lip Mask/Balm
Moisture is needed on every part of my face during autumn, the lips included. I love to use a thick and hydrating lip balm or lip mask. I looooove to use the Laneige Lip Mask. It smells so good and is so hydrating. It’s amazing.
Little Clip of My Relaxing Routine
Obviously, I don’t do this in front of a camera every day, haha.
That’s it for my relaxing autumn skincare routine. I really enjoy putting every product on each night. My skin feels hydrated and smooth and I’m in such a good mood before I go to sleep. What’s your skincare routine?
Lots of love and see you tomorrow!
