Today I will give you an introduction to my ‘Blogtober’ month. One post (hopefully) every day, whew. I’m also doing a short Q&A.
So, for the first day of ‘Blogtober’, I’m doing a little Q&A or Questions and Answers. I asked you guys to send me a few questions and here they are. But first I want to excite you for my Blogtober month. I will be publishing one post every day. It’s a lot and I hope you are excited. I will be posting tutorials, favourites of each category, tips and tricks, discontinued products I would’ve liked to try and many other things! Let’s go
- Describe your easy daily makeup under 10 minutes
My easy daily makeup always begins with moisturiser. I need it very bad, no matter the season. Then I apply a bit of concealer underneath my eyes and blend that out with a sponge. My favourite is the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. Next, I apply a sheer layer of foundation to even out my skin tone. I use 1 to 2 drops and blend it out with a foundation brush. To set that I use a finely milled setting powder. It’s usually by Hourglass. I also love to use bronzers by Hourglass, so that’s what I usually do next. I mix two or three shades of the Unlocked palette with a big fluffy brush and apply that nearly everywhere. I love a lot of bronzer, haha. I don’t wear blush on a daily basis, at least not when I don’t have a lot of time. So the next step is usually brows. I’m currently using the Benefit Gimme Brow and Precisely My Brow pencil for a little bit of a tint and shape to my brows. A little bit of mascara and a lovely gloss (Fenty Gloss bomb these days) and I’m done. Sometimes I will add a bit of highlighter but lately, I’ve been skipping that step.
- What’s your favourite face mask?
I actually don’t really like face masks. I have a few from Lush that I enjoy but that’s about it. I feel like they don’t do much for my skin if you know what I mean? Although I love putting on a mask and relaxing for a bit. The entire process is a lot of fun. I think my favourite mask currently is the Milk Makeup Cannabis Hydrating Mask. It’s green so I always look like Fiona or Shrek, haha. But the application is the best part. The texture is like a traditional mask but it comes in stick form. So your hands don’t get dirty and the product distributes evenly. It does calm my skin down, especially some redness but I don’t notice much of a difference otherwise. The application is truly the hero!
- If you could only buy from one makeup brand till the rest of your life, which brand would it be?
I think it would have to be Hourglass. It’s really expensive but they make my favourite powder (the Veil Translucent Setting Powder) and their bronzers, blushes and highlighters are so stunning. The powders are so finely milled that they make my skin look natural and not dry at all.
- Best day of your life?
I think the best day of my life was the day I realised that people actually did love me. Especially my boyfriend. I have always had trust issues and a lot of insecurity when it came to my relationship. I was damaging our relationship because of it with jealous behaviour and I would insult him all the time. Saying he would leave me and cheat on me and all that. But one day I realised I was hurting him by saying such things about him. I was making him feel like a bad person and insulting his character and he would feel really guilty about something he never did. So, I started trusting him and that truly made me realise that he does love me and we can work through whatever issue we have. I feel a lot safer and relieved because of that day. It also made me realise how lucky I was to have him and other people, like my best friend. She’s is an absolute gem and I love her very much. So the best day of my life was a day where I realised things (get it) and found some stability and love. I hope this makes sense haha.
That’s it for today’s short q&a and the first day of Blogtober!
Tomorrow’s post is ‘A Simple Autumn Skincare Routine’. Hopefully, I will see you tomorrow and you will join me on this journey of blogtober!
Lots of love and see you tomorrow!
