Recent Empties & Declutter

Hey guys,
Over the last couple of years, I have been emptying and decluttering some products. Today, I thought I might share some of them with you!

I already did a ‘Recent Empties’ post a few months ago, in June (post here) where I showed you some of the products that I panned/emptied. Since then, I have been collecting products that are empty or that I want to get rid of in a little box. So here we go!

  • Catrice The Dewy Drops – DECLUTTER
Man, I wish I could love this but unfortunately, I don’t. This product is meant to be an illuminating primer or liquid highlight but I really dislike this. I tried it a few times as a primer and it emphasized the texture of my skin and the dry patches. It also didn’t really work as a liquid highlight because it did the same thing.
  • Catrice Prime & Fine Dewy Glow Fixing Spray – EMPTY
I don’t know if you can tell, but I absolutely love this spray. I also featured it in my last ‘Empties’ post and I have used it in countless looks and videos. A big favourite, haha.
  • Revolution Pro Fix Amazing Makeup Fixing Spray – EMPTY
This fixing spray was a bit meh. I actually don’t know if this still exists due to the rebranding of Makeup Revolution and the fact that this spray is approximately two years old. I remember that it smelled heavily of alcohol and I didn’t really see a difference with my makeup.

  • Wet n Wild Photofocus Foundation – EMPTY
This foundation was a bit of a hit/miss for me. First of all, it smelled heavily of paint. My dad is a professional painter (for the house, not for paintings) and I recognise the scent of paint very well. It was a beautiful finish but sometimes a bit too drying. Not sure if I will ever repurchase it.
  • LA Girl Pro Coverage Foundation – DECLUTTER
This is the greasiest foundation ever on my skin. I know a lot of people absolutely love this foundation but it’s such a mess for me. It felt heavy on the skin. It looked extremely cakey. It transferred like crazy. Not a fan.

  • Essence Fixing Compact Powder – EMPTY
I don’t have much to say about this powder. It’s a drugstore favourite and such a good powder. I have already repurchased this since emptying it and I have almost emptied the repurchase ๐Ÿ˜€
  • Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Concealer – DECLUTTER
I feel a bit meh about this concealer. The colour is very light and good for my skin tone. However, the finish of this concealer is a bit too matte and drying for me. I would not repurchase again.
  • Catrice Highlighting Powder Champagne Campaign – DECLUTTER
I absolutely love the name of this product but unfortunately, it was a letdown. It hardly had any pigmentation or shine. It just did nothing on my face. Too bad.

  • Catrice Glam & Doll Curl & Volume Mascara – DECLUTTER
Man, this is not the way I want my mascara to look like. The formula is very thick and wet and therefore makes the lashes look thick and clumpy. Not a fan. Also smudged like crazy.
  • L’oreal Miss Baby Roll – EMPTY
I love this mascara even though I forget the name constantly. The formula isn’t too dry or too wet, but just in between. It separates the lashes beautifully and gives them some volume. It doesn’t give a lot of length and I like length so I might not repurchase this one. I’m not sure though.
  • Essence Lash Princess (Purple) – DECLUTTER
This mascara has the same issues as the Catrice mascara. Very thick and very wet, making the eyelashes very thick and clumpy. It did give a lot of length but I’m not a fan of spider lashes.

  • Essence The Cushion Eyeliner – DECLUTTER
I’m not sure if you remember but I bought this and then found out that it had dried out. So sad about that. I haven’t used this at all and I’m a bit hesitant after this experience.
  • Nabla Dazzle Liner – DECLUTTER
This is an absolutely stunning product but it started to smell weird so I had to toss it out. I absolutely love this formula and it is so long-lasting. I’ll definitely purchase some other shades in the future.
  • Milani Eyeshadow Primer – DECLUTTER
I feel like this actually did something about the blendability and intensity of my eyeshadows and I did enjoy using it. However, I noticed that the consistency started to separate a bit. When I squeezed the tube, a sort of oily consistency came out and then the actual primer. I didn’t really enjoy that so I’m getting rid of it.
  • Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 HR – DECLUTTER
If you remember this product, then you have been around for a long time. I used this for the first time two years ago for a Christmas Makeup Post and have used a few times since then. However, it has completely dried out so I’m getting rid of it.

  • Catrice Matt Lover Lipstick Pen – DECLUTTER
This has a beautiful semi-matte formula and feels very comfortable on the lips, however, the colour doesn’t suit me at all.
  • Wet N Wild Liquid Catsuit – DECLUTTER
Do you remember this? I absolutely hated it and tried it a few times after my review but I still hate it. Jeez, review here.
  • NYX Butter Gloss in Tiramisu – EMPTY
These glosses are so good and I absolutely love the colour Tiramisu. It’s the most gorgeous pinky nude and the formula is amazing.
  • NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in Morocco & Stockholm – DECLUTTER
I have held on to these for such a long time but it is time to get rid of them. They started to smell funky but I really love the colours. Unfortunately, I have found other formulas that I like better so I won’t repurchase them.

  • MAC Lipglass in Nymphette – DECLUTTER
This is such a beautiful gloss. Pink with golden reflects. Absolutely stunning but as you can see, it doesn’t look that great anymore, haha. Review here.
  • Urban Decay Vice Liquid Lipsticks – DECLUTTER
Yikes, I did not like these one bit. I have written a review on these so if you’re interested then click on this link.

  • I Heart Makeup Naked Chocolate Palette – DECLUTTER
This palette is so incredibly old and I have just found other things that work better for me. I really did like this palette though
  • Makeup Revolution Acid Brights – DECLUTTER
This was my first ever colourful eyeshadow palette. Oh the memories, haha. However, I have found better colourful palettes and I just don’t really reach for this one anymore.
  • Makeup Revolution Neutrals vs New-trals – DECLUTTER
I have used this palette a lot but lately, I haven’t been reaching for it anymore and it’s just collecting dust. I think my mom will be very happy with this one though.

So that completes this ‘Recent Empties and Declutter’ post. I hope you enjoy this type of content and let me know if you want to see more of it in the future! ๐Ÿ™‚
Lots of love and see you next time!

  1. I did declutter of my makeup collection yesterday actually, I collected all the things in a bag, so I’ll definitely do similar post to this one. I like to keep my collection manageable, so I can use products often. I also started doing project pan just to try to use up some products as I can’t stop buying new makeup products. I’m so mad that we don’t have Catrice dewy setting spray, we only have matte version here. I can’t wait for the new Catrice and Essence Spring/Summer 2019 collection, I’ll probably buy few products haha. Lovely post dear. xx
